The terrific efforts of staff and students to maintain learning progress over this time has have paid dividends, with the offers of places on a wide range of highly competitive degree courses at some of the best universities in the country.

We are very pleased that 30% of grades are A*-A, a 1 % increase on 2023 and a 4% increase from 2019 (the year before COVID adjustments).

Oxbridge Success

We actively seek to support and prepare students to secure places at Oxford and Cambridge.  This year, another four Wren students were successful

Bethan will be reading Biology at Oxford

Joseph will be reading Computer Science at New College, Oxford.

Willow will be reading Theology at Trinity College, Oxford.

Micha will be reading Theology at Selwyn College, Cambridge.

The wide range of high-quality destinations of our students have been achieved through a structured programme which provides systematic support and guidance for each individual student throughout their time in Sixth Form.

Alex (University of Nottingham) and Grace (King’s College London are both studying BioChemistry.

Raihan and George (University of Bath), Francesca (University of Bristol), Nicola (Queen Mary, London), and John (King’s College London) are all embarking on Maths degrees.

Josh (Biomedical- Imperial College, London), Alexis (Biomedical, King’s College London) Ipsa (Aerospace- City University, London), Benyamin (Aerospace, Brunel, London) and Megan (Product Design, Loughborough) will commence Engineering degrees.

Om (Univeristy of Leicester), Daniel (Queen Mary, London) and Arun (University of Exeter) are three of the eight students going on to study Economics.

Eight students have chosen to study HistoryIzabella and Huda (King’s College, London), Sina (University of Birmingham), Novah (Queen Mary, London), Matthew (University of Nottingham), Ruby (University of Manchester), Fay (University of Warwick) and Titomi (University of Bristol).

Some students have achieved significant success in securing places in highly rated creative arts courses. Tea will study Animation at the University of Edinburgh, Eve will study Games Art and Design at the University of Brighton, Micha will study Furniture Design at Kingston University, Alex and Edward will both study Acting at University of West London and Anglia Ruskin University respectively.

To date, two students have secured graduate apprenticeshipsDylan will be working and studying with TFL and Grace will be working and studying with the BBC.

As ever, there is an abundance of individual success stories where students have overcome significant challenges to secure a place in a range of higher education institutions and we celebrate every single achievement.  The students named in this article are a fraction of the bigger picture.

We are so proud of every student and as a collective, our class of 2024 developed a positive culture which set a fine example to the rest of the Academy.  We look forward to following the progress of all our students through our Alumni programme.  Every former student remains part of our community and we our always here to offer support in the future.
